SPECIFICATION
Benson batteries are specially designed for use in tropical climate with the following tried and tested customer benefits:

Cold-forged Terminal Inserts prevent loose connections, leakage and corrosion.

Polyethylene Envelope Separator with Glass Mat* prevents treeing and short circuits, enhances the electrical performance due to its high porosity and increases the life of the battery by holding up the active material in place despite bumps and vibrations.

Heat-Sealed Covers prevent spillover and contamination of electrolyte and increases the integrated strength of the battery for longer life.

Extra Electrolyte above the plates ensures that the battery runs cooler and hence reduces water loss thus making it low maintenance.

Polypropylene Container has high impact strength, high shock and vibration resistance even on bad roads.

Ceramic vent plugs prevents escape of acid fumes while allowing gases to disperse makes battery environment friendly and safe to use in drawing rooms.

Ceramic vent plugs prevent escape of moisture thus reducing topping up frequency.

Float guides indicate level of electrolyte and hence user is aware if topping up is required.

Useful Tips

1. Ensure the battery is initial filled and charged as per the procedure
2. Ensure the correct type in terms of capacity and voltage is fitted to the inverter
3. The terminals should be clean and dry and coated with a thin film of petroleum jelly
4. The connections between the battery and inverter should be tight
5. Top of the battery and the vent plugs should be clean and dry
6. Ensure the lower and upper cut-off voltages of the inverter is 10.5 and 14.2 volts respectively
7. Ensure the lower and upper cut-off voltages are checked at the time of initial fitment
8. The battery should not be allowed to operate in a partially charged condition for more than a week. In case the specific gravity does not pickup under normal working conditions, then arrange to give the battery a bench charge
